Help Nikki Patterson
My mother, Nikki, is the most amazing person I know. She went back to college after leaving college to start a family of two hard working kids. Later on she went back to college. In 2014, she graduated from The University of Toledo. She is now a teacher that tries her hardest to make sure the children succeed.
A couple years ago she had to get incisions and hardware installed in her hand. A year later, two tendons ruptured. She then had to get another surgery on her hand. Back in January, while doing a self exam she felt something wrong in her armpit area. She did what any person should do and went to the doctor. Later come to find out she has swollen cancerous lymph nodes in her left breast.
As of right now we do not know what stage she is in. The doctors say somewhere between two and three. She is expected to start chemotherapy soon. These upcoming months are not set in stone. We do not know for a fact what will happen. We are all being optimistic. I love my mom to death and she is one of the most kind, loving, and best people I know.
