I am raising money for my Mother, Nicole Medley - lifelong New England Patriots fan and beloved member of Patriots Nation on Facebook. Back in 2003, she contracted a flesh-eating virus in her right leg that nearly took her life. My mother fought exceptionally hard learning how to walk again in order to regain control of her life. She has experienced continuous falls and complications with this leg along the way but has never stopped fighting. She chooses to remain a loving and productive member of society, helping others and working hard to make ends meet.


December 31, 2020 New Year’s Day, she experienced what has been her most devastating fall. As traumatic as it was, I am grateful that I was there to help her. Surgeons have inserted a rod above the knee to help re-stabilize the bone, however the wound from the fall and bones penetrating the skin is much bigger than they anticipated. Doctors are concerned that with previous complications and poor circulation, the wound will not heal, and they will have to amputate the leg.

My mother is a fighter, I know she will make it through. With a long road to recovery ahead of her and no longer being able to work, I am asking all family and friends for support to help promote a healthy recovery.  Thank you so much for your support and please pray for my Mother’s strength and healing.
