My name is Jenn and I have a 9 (going on 10) year old maltipoo named Nikki who is very sick. She is throwing up orange vomit, pooping all over the house, drinking water excessively, has a poor appetite, and is having a really hard time breathing. She needs to see an emergency vet if possible ASAP. She saw a regular vet (because that’s what we could afford) and they did one x-ray that showed her gallbladder is bad and has a lot of sludge in it. They said she may need surgery.

What I’m trying to accomplish here is to take her to the emergency vet to be properly evaluated before proceeding with any major medical procedures such as surgery. I know it’s going to be expensive. Please note that any funds donated that are not needed for Nikki’s vet expenses will be going towards future vet care for the other animals like my cat Gus who has a chronic condition called Stomatitis. We never expected these kinds of expenses and we’re just trying to do everything we can to get our pets the care they need. I’ve called every vet on Maricopa County’s low cost vets and none of them were affordable for us or available.

Please help my angel if you can. She’s the sweetest dog in the world and she’s my unofficial emotional support animal. She has comforted me through the loss of my childhood dog, the loss of my grandmother, the loss of a family friend, the loss of my own dear friend, through years of chronic illness myself, and survived with me through a past abusive relationship. I’m not ready to lose my best friend yet. She still has so much life to live.
