I’m Nikki, and I recently got the call no one wants: I’ve been diagnosed with cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma. It’s a lot to take in, and I’m still wrapping my head around it. On April 21, 2025, I visited the UK Cancer Center, but it was too soon after surgery to know the full scope of what’s ahead—treatment plans, costs, or how this will change my life. What I do know is that I’m ready to fight, and I need your support to do it.Over the past year, I’ve worked hard to turn my life around— getting healthier, securing insurance after 17 years, and finding a job I love. I’ve been building a future with my husband, Justin, and even dreaming of starting a family. This diagnosis feels like a curveball, but I believe in the power of community, honesty, and support, which is why I’m sharing my story with you.I’m raising $10,000 to help cover medical bills, travel to appointments, and living expenses while I focus on treatment. Cervical cancer care can be expensive, even with insurance, and the costs of co-pays, medications, and time off work are already adding up. Your donation, no matter the size, will give me the strength to face this battle without the added stress of financial burdens.I’m also asking for your thoughts, prayers, and shares to spread the word. My dogs, Shelby and the memory of my sweet Buddy, keep me grounded, and your support will lift me up. I’ll post updates as I learn more about my treatment plan and how I’m doing. Thank you for being part of my community and helping me fight this with hope and love.
