I never imagined I would be in a position to write something like this, but I am asking for help because I truly do not know where else to turn. On the night of August 12th, I was brutally physically assaulted by my husband, who is now in jail. In the middle of trying to process that trauma and stay safe, I also discovered that he had stopped paying the mortgage for a few months. Since his arrest, I have been uncovering many lies from the man I trusted the most, and that has sent me into further despair as I have been trying to fix and pick up the pieces from that as well. I am now behind on my home and facing the very real possibility of foreclosure. Everything has happened so fast, and I have been left trying to pick up the pieces of my life while dealing with shock, fear, and uncertainty.

Your support will help me catch up on mortgage payments, cover any legal fees that may come up, and take care of basic living expenses while I recover and rebuild. I have struggled with creating this fundraiser because asking for help has never been easy for me, and it is embarrassing to feel like it has come to this. But right now, I need help.
