Help Nikki and Her Family through Recovery
Donation protected
Hi friends! I love you!!
If you haven’t heard from me lately it’s because we have had an emergency in my family.
Everyone is okay now, however my mother in love, Michele, accidentally severed a tendon in one of her fingers with a steak knife.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t just any cut we can butterfly bandage (we usually would!) …
This was a severe sever of a tendon which allows the hand to function properly, bend the fingers and goes all the way up the hand, wrist and arm. When the tendon was severed it reversed down into her hand! I saw it!
She did have an emergency surgery to make sure she would be able to use her hand again. Shocking I know! It was very scary but we have faith it’s going to get worked out for the good!
Thankfully, the amazing surgeon successfully reattached the tendon. However, the recovery is an arduous process. She is not allowed to use her dominant hand or arm for 3 months!!! Like not at all, it must stay in a splint and then she can barely start rehabbing from 3-6 months. (Very carefully)!
If she uses her hand at all she risks rupturing the reattchement from surgery and would have to get surgery again. Not happening!!
So this is where I step in, with literally 24/7 care. Like literally. Imagine you can’t use your whole right arm/hand for three months! And on top of all this she is already battling Lyme disease — a chronic illness.
As you can imagine, this has been a very challenging time me and for my family. So anythjng you can donate would be such a blessing to me and help us tremendously in this time.
We can’t afford some of the necessary rehabilitation equipment as it’s not covered under insurance and some other necessary things as our whole world got flipped up side down!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you would please share with people you know on social media or at a coffee shop or wherever you may venture- I will be forever grateful.
