My daughter Nikita was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December 2024. Since then, our family has been learning and adjusting together, and we’ve seen how important it is for her to connect with others who truly understand what she’s going through. Last year, Nikita had the opportunity to attend a summer camp specifically for children with type 1 diabetes. It was an incredible experience—she learned so much about managing her condition, made new friends who share her journey, and came home with a sense of confidence and belonging that meant the world to us.

This year, we’re hoping to send Nikita back to camp so she can continue building those friendships and skills. The funds raised will go directly toward her camp tuition, as well as a few extras like a sweater and a tee shirt to help her feel comfortable and included.
