Help Niki Ross and Robert Pernicano Rebuild After Fire

During the early morning hours of Saturday 1/11, an absolutely devastating electrical fire started at my very sweet mother Niki Ross’s house, where she lives alone (no pets) with her fiancé Robert Pernicano. They both work at Walmart in Winchester Virginia as overnight stockers and left the house for their usual shift at 10:00 PM. A neighbor from across the street noticed flames and smoke at 5:00 AM and called 911. The house had already been engulfed in flames and gutted from the inside out at this point, along with their adjacent storage building. They are basically left with the shirts on their backs, and it’s going to be extremely difficult to replace what needs to be replaced while accounting for rent payments in the very near future, since this house was inherited and paid off. They had a lapse in home insurance, nothing is covered, and they usually live the typical paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. They are staying in a hotel room for a couple nights, thanks to American Red Cross, while they sort things out and continue going to work. Any and every item of sentiment you can possibly think of is now ash, and this is quite an atrocious time in their lives. Please help my beloved mother and her beloved fiancé get through this very difficult and unprecedented time if you can, so they can start rebuilding their lives. PLEASE share this with as many people as you can. I want this to be widespread!!! Make sure your electrical boxes get routine maintenance checks, and to stay extremely conscious of what kind of devices stay on in your homes when you are not there. This could have been a million times worse and could happen to anybody out there. I also want to point out that it’s important to treat people with kindness, you would have no idea these people are going through what they are going through. This applies to everybody :)

Update: I told my mom I started this last night and there was a few hundreds dollars for her and she was so grateful. We are all so beyond grateful. Not even 24 hours have gone by and everyone has raised $1.5k+ you guys are so amazing. Thank you a thousand times
