Help Niki and Family Through Heart Crisis

Niki experienced a sudden and unexpected heart issue and is currently in the Cardiac ICU at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis with heart failure, severe mitral valve regurgitation, inflammation of her heart, significant edema, and many other unpleasant symptoms. Her heart is currently functioning at a minimal 13% heart function, has a very weak pulse, and a very high heart rate. We just learned that Niki will be placed on the waiting list for a heart transplant.

She will be out of work and incurring extensive medical costs. Her husband, PJ, has been missing work and will be traveling back and forth from home to Minneapolis, as well as paying for parking and eating out while Niki is in the hospital. Their four children will be traveling back and forth as well, eating out, and needing childcare.
