Around the first of the year, I had a nervous breakdown. I've lost almost 100 lbs—so it's been a miracle diet, hahaha. I've kept my sense of humor through this if nothing else. No one talks about the physical pain that comes with it. I couldn't sleep, and I ended up in the emergency room five times, including two ambulance rides. I've had trouble breathing, nightmares, panic attacks, and migraine headaches that leave me unable to open my eyes for days. I've seen five different specialists, been put on and taken off multiple medications, and even tried inhalers that led to lung infections and inflammation. But the medical bills have piled up, and my insurance only covers so much. I never thought I'd be in this position, but seeing others find support here gave me hope to try.

Because of the mental health challenges, I've become severely agoraphobic and can't work right now. That means no income, and the stress of monthly bills, groceries, and medical debt keeps growing. The funds raised will help me pay for my home, cover essential bills, keep my computer running so I can stay connected and hopefully get back into writing, and chip away at the medical debt that's weighing me down.
