Help Nighthawk Get New Shelters and Outdoor Learning Spaces!

Donation protected
Tyler and I need help investing in new and improved shelters and other infrastructure needed to keep our students comfortable in the high desert outdoors!

If you live in Central Oregon, you know that the winters are long, cold, and windy, and the summers are intensely bright, hot, and increasingly smoky. This makes running an outdoor school a challenge and an adventure every day!

In 2024 and 2025, we want to better adapt to these conditions to keep our students comfortable outdoors so they can better focus on learning.

We hope to acquire:
- More private land partners
- A 160 sq ft yurt
- Small wood stove for yurt
- Shed(s) for storing course equipment on-site
- More shade structures and walls for summer sun
- Building lean-to's on-site for youth programming

If you attend our programs or you send your kids to our programs, you have benefited from our investments in infrastructure like this and may or may not know how crucial they are to your comfort during programs.

We are campaigning to increase that comfort and we could really use some help!

We hope to keep our tuition modestly priced so more people can afford our programs. This campaign will help us grow and improve while keeping those tuition costs down. If you or someone you know can spare a few dollars to help, all donations from $5-$500 are appreciated! Donations of all amounts help.

If you can't afford to donate, please share this campaign on socials or with someone who can.

We are committed to continuing to provide a space and facilitation for folks who want to connect with people, place, and past in Central Oregon. Wilderness schools offering adult programming across the country have seen a staggering drop in enrollment this year and unfortunately, we are not immune. As such, we appreciate your contributions so that we can continue to grow and provide programs for you and your families!

Any contributions exceeding the cost of infrastructure will go towards helping families attend programs with partial subsidies.

Nighthawk Naturalist School is an LLC. Donations are not tax deductible.
