My name is Ashley, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my coworker, Nigel, who is currently facing an incredibly difficult situation.

Nigel moved from Arizona to San Diego to help support his mother and 12 siblings. As the oldest sibling, he has spent much of his life carrying the responsibility of helping care for his family, including siblings with disabilities, while the household has continued to face serious financial hardship.

Despite Nigel’s efforts to work and provide support, his family could no longer afford the rent for their two apartments. This has left Nigel without stable housing while he continues showing up to work and doing everything he can to rebuild his life.

We are raising funds to help Nigel purchase a reliable used car so he can safely get to and from work, as well as cover the security deposit, first month’s rent, and other costs needed to secure a new apartment.

Nigel has always focused on helping the people around him. Our goal is to give him the support he needs to regain stability, maintain his employment, and finally begin building a secure foundation for himself. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. Sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to us.
