Many of you know my sweet kitty, Nigel, who’s been with me for 13 years. Recently, he faced two major health crises—a heart issue followed by a life-threatening urinary blockage. Both required emergency care and surgery, and while Nigel is now recovering well, the medical bills have been overwhelming.

Out of $10,000 in expenses, insurance only covered $1,500. I’ve managed part of it on care credit but still have a long way to go, and Nigel needs an echocardiogram to manage his heart condition.
