UPDATE!
Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me! We've made our goal, and I'm off to South America. Please look out for more updates. Again - thank you.
Greetings,
I’m Nigel Greene, a junior at Hampton University, and I’m excited to share an incredible opportunity with you. This summer, I’ve been selected to participate in the highly competitive Shadow Abroad: Spanish Immersion in Latin America program, which will take me to Ecuador and Argentina for six weeks. Only 25 students are selected for this program, making it a truly special opportunity!
As a Kinesiology major with a minor in Psychology, I’m passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare where I can make a real difference in people’s lives. This program will allow me to gain invaluable clinical hours, hands-on volunteer experience, and immerse myself in Spanish language and culture—an experience that will shape both my future career and my understanding of healthcare in diverse communities.
During my time in South America, I’ll work alongside local healthcare providers, assist in community health initiatives, and learn about cultural competency—vital for serving patients from all walks of life. This experience will complement what I’m studying at Hampton University and prepare me to be a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional.
The cost of the program is significant. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your support. Your donation will directly fund:
- Tuition and program fees
- Transportation and travel expenses
- Accommodations during my six-week stay
No contribution is too small—every donation brings me one step closer to making this dream a reality. If you’re unable to contribute financially, I’d be grateful if you could share this fundraiser with others who might be interested in supporting this journey.
Thank you for your belief in me and my dreams. With your help, I’ll be able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the communities I serve—and grow as an individual and future healthcare professional.
