Hello, I am Nieves’s mother. I am asking for funds for her trip to Carnegie Hall to sing with Bakersfield College. This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Funds are always needed for such trips, and to be able to sing at Carnegie Hall is a dream of hers. She is currently working to try to raise funds, but she recently got into a car accident and now has a loan on top of paying for the trip. The funds go towards room and boarding for 5 days. Even if she raises the funds herself, that leaves nothing to spend (eat, sightseeing, or buying a keepsake).

I ask that if you care for the arts, please support her dream of being on the stage that held such legends as Billie Holiday and Dizzy Gillespie, rock icons like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and classical performers such as Enrico Caruso and Judy Garland.

Small donations are appreciated - $1, $5, even $10. I am hoping that this helps fund her trip, allows her to sightsee and eat real NY pizza, as well as grace the stage that Ella Fitzgerald and Carole King once did.

Please help her have that once-in-a-lifetime trip. I will not be able to go, although she wants me to because she wants family there. I do not have the funds to do so. I want her to have this opportunity.
