Hi there. I am DeeAnn Jenks. This fundraiser is to benefit Books for Tiny Babies, LLC and Stryder's Giving Library. Our family started these non-profits as a memorial to our grandson, Stryder. We provide a bookshelf filled with sweet board books and small stuffies that are available to families with an infant in the NICU at our local hospital. We also provide educational materials stressing the importance of reading to newborns. Reading is vital to infants in their vocabulary and speech development. It is especially important to the NICU baby as they have likely missed out on the last few weeks of womb time, which are critical for language development. Parents reading to their infant will be increasing bonding and enriching brain growth.
