Hey everyone, my name is Nicole and I'm reaching out for serious help for my friend. I'm going to post her story below. PLEASE PLEASE donate, share, anything. She is a single mom that has been through some horrific things and needs help to get an attorney that will actually fight for her and her baby girl. This is her story,

My ex has subjected me and my two children (one of whom is our biological daughter) to ongoing physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. His behavior created a household environment marked by fear, intimidation, and instability.

He was physically violent and once attempted to kill me in front of our children, a traumatic event that left lasting emotional scars. He also physically confined my son by locking him in storage areas in our RV table bench as a form of punishment or control. His substance abuse (particularly kratom) further exacerbated his abuse. He would often blame the kids for "ruining his kratom high," using this as an excuse for verbal and emotional attacks.

Daily, he berated and belittled all of us, calling us stupid, crazy, and using other degrading language to tear our self-worth down. His words and actions were intended to manipulate, control, and isolate us, deeply affecting our mental and emotional well-being.

This consistent pattern of abuse has had a profound and lasting impact on both me and my children.

Despite this clear history of violence and abuse, the child welfare system has now placed our daughter in his custody without a proper investigation into his history or the danger he poses. Shockingly, this decision has been made while there is still an active warrant for his arrest related to the night he attempted to kill me. The system has defined him as "not a threat" even with those facts on record!

This placement has not only re-traumatized our daughter but has left both of my children and me in fear for her safety and well-being. It is deeply unjust and dangerous to ignore the documented abuse and legal issues, and return a vulnerable child to the custody of the very person who inflicted so much harm.

We escaped his manipulation and control on December 10, 2023, when he was arrested. That same day, I packed up the children and called my grandparents to come pick us up. We left and I never looked back. Since then, he has made no effort to be present in our daughter's life in any meaningful way. Additionally, there is an active no-contact order in place with me listed as the protected person. PLEASE, I AM BEGGING FOR ANY HELP I CAN GET TO GET A LAWYER AND FIGHT TO GET MY BABY BACK. I AM LOST WITHOUT HER.
