Fundraiser for Regenerative Medicine Treatment
This fundraiser aims to support my daughter, Nicole Vumbaco, who has been battling the debilitating effects of Systemic Bartonellosis since 2017. Despite years of relentless pain and ongoing challenges, Nicole has exhibited exceptional strength and determination. While she’s made remarkable strides through rigorous treatment, the devastating damage caused by this disease has left injuries throughout her body. Consequently, Nicole suffers from multiple nerve impingements (in her arms, legs and spine) and diffuse connective tissue injuries that drastically impair her ability to walk, restrict the use of her hands and limit her capacity to perform even the most basic daily activities. She is now at a crucial stage in her recovery and needs regenerative medicine to repair these damaged areas.
Using a combination of biochemical techniques, Nicole will receive injections directly at each site of damage to induce tissue remodeling and decrease nerve inflammation. Nicole has already received over 45 injections in a two-part series and the results were incredibly promising. Her doctors remain optimistic that with these treatments, her remaining symptoms will be reversible. Unfortunately, like most advanced therapies, it’s not covered by insurance and requires travel to a specialized facility. This is where we are asking for your help.
To complete the initial series, Nicole will need to travel to an out-of-state medical facility once a month for 6 months. Thereafter, her injections will continue every three months for the following year. The overall expense far exceeds Nicole’s financial means with each round of treatment costing between $4,000 - $5,000.
We understand that the goal is substantial, but every contribution—whether financial or through sharing this page—will make a difference. As most of you know, Nicole is an incredibly special person. In the face of adversity and profound personal and professional loss, she has remained steadfast in her character and still has a smile that lights up a room. These procedures are paramount to her recovery and the only way she may ever redefine and regain a prosperous life.
Your contribution will help Nicole regain her mobility and independence, which is a forever precious gift.
Thank you,
Momma V
