Hi, my name is Nicole. I am 39 years old. I am starting this campaign just as a suggestion as I continue to learn about any resources that are available to me and my family.

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. After weeks and weeks of getting sick. Hospital visit after hospital visit and test after test. This was the end result. For the first few months, I did this journey alone, not wanting to have family, sons and friends see me in pain or just to feel like a burden. I looked into resources, did research, just trying to find what would work best for me, whether it be meds, chemo, or radiation. But it was until it got to the point to where I had really bad days and I couldn’t take care of myself. That’s when I knew I had to let my family know. Honestly, after I told them it was a big weight lifted off my shoulders, seeing my family and friends come together and support me to continue to fight this.

A few months down the line, I am still trying to get through this very challenging journey. Traveling back and forth for appointments is tough, medications can get expensive, especially the changes and pain that I go through. All this while being a single parent. I have two sons. My oldest is currently in Alaska and serving in the Army. My youngest a Senior In High School. Diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and Developmental Disorder. It’s already hard enough that I’m going through this, let alone having to put out something like this. But I do appreciate everything, even if it’s just words of encouragement and prayers. Those are what get me through my hardest days. So I appreciate you all for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you. Love you all.
