My name is Tracie and I’m fundraising on behalf of my beautiful niece, Nicole.
On the night of October 16th, Nicole, age 31, was viciously attacked outside Nations Burgers in Westlake. She had just finished a shift at her externship around 11:30pm and stopped to pick up a meal before heading home.
As she was leaving the restaurant, an unknown man violently assaulted her. He repeatedly punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground. Despite her efforts to get away, the attacker continued the assault until Nicole was finally able to grab the restaurant door handle and escape back inside.
She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, where a CT scan confirmed she had suffered a fractured orbital bone on the right side of her face. Right now, Nicole is unable to open her right eye and can barely open her mouth due to the extent of her injuries.
Nicole has faced more than her share of hardships. She lost her father at the tender age of 7 and her mother passed away just a few years ago. Recently, she made a courageous decision to pursue a new path and graduated from pastry school. She was completing her externship, working late nights.
Unfortunately, Nicole does not currently have health insurance. The cost of her medical care, follow-up treatments, and time away from work will be significant. I’m asking for your help to ease the financial burden so Nicole can focus on healing - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
This was a senseless and unprovoked act of violence. As of now, the attacker has not been apprehended. Please stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings, and if you can, consider donating or sharing this page to help Nicole during this incredibly difficult time.
