Hello friends. I am humbly asking for your support while I fight for my independence.

2024 was a difficult year for many of us, including myself. I was diagnosed with EDS, a connective tissue disorder that affects most of my body systems and impairs my mobility. Then in June, I was laid off. Unemployment is a challenge for able bodied people, and my mobility limitations make the job search that much more difficult.

Today, I ask for your help in funding a manual wheelchair and assistance with living and medical expenses as I continue my job search. Currently, my mobility limits my ability to reliably leave the house. I am beyond grateful for my electric wheelchair, but I can only use it at home unless others help with its transport. Remote work has become difficult to secure and the uphill battle feels steeper with every passing day. My hope is that a manual chair would make hybrid, or even on-site work accessible to me.
