Help Nicole Out After Her Hamstring Hamstrung Her

Donation protected
Hi friends -
Here's the story. Our friend Nicole Talbert was workin' out in the gym, crushing reps on sumo deadlifts when her hamstring decided to give up and take a little break from being attached where it's normally supposed to be attached. Like, completely. Peaced out. So Nicole had to go in for surgery at UVM and had a great doc (Thanks, Nick Antell for the recommendation!) but is currently laid up for a couple weeks at home and can't work during that time. She's pretty well set up at home and her medical insurance was good about covering the expenses associated with the surgery but her income is going to take a hit during this time and there's not a lot of social safety net for a self-employed single mom. She's pretty much on bed rest for two weeks followed by a little weight bearing on her leg after that. The total recovery time with physical therapy is about 6 months.

If you know Nicole, you know she works really hard at multiple jobs to make her life work and she does a great job of it. But this setback isn't the easiest to overcome if your jobs involve a lot of physical activity, which all of hers do.

So - here's the ask: Can we get together some money to help bridge Nicole from her surgery and convalescence back to her normal healthy self? It'll help with the day-to-day expenses like rent, groceries, etc. Nicole would never ask for this - that's why we're doing it! Everyone needs a helping hand from time to time - so if you can, it would be great if you can pitch in.

Thanks! Appreciate you!
