Help for Nicole’s Brain Injury

Hello everyone we are reaching out again to crowdfund expenses for the next step of Nicole’s traumatic brain injury treatment. As you know, she was the innocent victim of a hit and run motor vehicle accident in December of 2020 that has left her unable to return to school or work in a meaningful way. Although she has made a lot of progress, she still suffers daily with significant symptoms that impact almost everything she does. Her present neurologist has suggested she is nearing the end of what traditional treatment can do and that she may have to give up and learn to live as a disabled person.

Nicole and our family have found a reasonably priced treatment program for brain injury in the Denver area where she lives called The Plasticity Center that she will begin attending in the next few months. This is a comprehensive outpatient program that uses an intensive combination of many of the therapies Nicole has been successfully using over the last two years. Unfortunately insurance companies will not cover the cost of rehabilitation programs for patients like Nicole who are suffering from mild traumatic brain injury. We are hopeful that this rehab program will reduce the worst of Nicole’s symptoms and help her achieve a better quality of life.

We could really use some help paying for this program, and with some additional costs associated with Nicole’s care. Prior to the accident, Nicole had graduated summa cum laude with a BS integrative healthcare and was well on the way to her goal of establishing her own practice. She has the potential to make a difference in the world and to positively affect the lives of many people. She has worked very hard over the last two years and has made some incredible progress, let’s get her the help she needs to get her life fully back.
