Help Nicole Make Her Home Accessible & Regain Independence
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nicole. I’m a disabled trans woman living in Utah, and over the past five years, my health has steadily declined due to a neurological disorder. Every year, I’ve developed new symptoms that have made daily life more challenging.
It started with tics similar to Tourette’s. Then came sensory processing issues and chronic pain. By year three, I lost my voice and became partially mute. In the fourth year, I developed severe GI issues. And this year, I’ve lost mobility in my left hand.
Most recently, I also lost my ability to stand or walk for more than 30 seconds. Since I can’t drive, this has been devastating. I’ve already used all my savings to buy an electric wheelchair, but my home isn’t accessible enough for me to use it easily.
This fundraiser will help me:
Install 3 ramps and make my home more wheelchair-friendly. My house was built in the twenties… the 1920s, not rhe 2020s.
Get necessary wheelchair accessories for daily life
Cover Lyft, Instacart, and Uber rides when it snows, since I can’t drive
Doctors aren’t entirely sure what’s causing my condition, and medical help has been limited. Right now, my focus is on making life as accessible and manageable as possible. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser, would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading and for any help you can give!
