My name is Nicole McCall, and my life has been shattered in the most unimaginable way. My beloved son, Keyonate McCall, was kidnapped and murdered. Writing these words breaks me. No mother should ever have to experience this, and no mother should ever have to bury her child—especially under circumstances this horrific. Seeing his name in the news is something I will never recover from. He was only 18 years old—full of dreams, full of life, and full of potential he will never get to fulfill. Keyonate was loved deeply. He had family, friends, and a future. He should be here today. Instead, I am planning a funeral for my child, something I was never prepared—emotionally or financially—to do.
