Help Nicole Give Darlene a Loving Farewell

Hi All, My name is Stephanie Grande. I am the friend of Nicole (Nikki) McCullough. Nicole has been the dedicated caregiver to her mother, Darlene McCullough, for the past three years. Many of you may already know that 10 years ago, Darlene had a stroke that has substantially affected her quality of life. With Darlene no longer having the ability to stand, walk, bathe, remember things, etc., Nicole has dedicated her life to not only her three boys, Sammy, Jaden, and Riley, but to both of her very ill parents, Darlene and Sam.

With Darlene needing full-time care, Nicole has been unable to work full-time and has missed multiple days of work to tend to her mom. From Nicole breaking her back to help get Darlene into bed at night to changing her soiled diaper each morning, to do it all over again day in and day out, Nicole has mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially worn herself thin to give her mom the best care possible. Anyone who knows Nicole knows how kind-hearted and selfless she is; she has always gone above and beyond for those she loves.

If Darlene’s quality of life wasn’t already very poor, Darlene’s health took even more of a decline. In February 2025, Darlene was diagnosed with throat cancer, which has resulted in Nicole making the hard decision of putting her mom on hospice. As you can imagine, Nicole and her family are devastated. On 3/18/25, Nicole received a call in the middle of the night telling her that Darlene had a seizure. Unfortunately, the doctors have given Darlene only days to live. As you can imagine, Nicole is not only terribly heartbroken but left to figure out funeral expenses immediately. Nicole is not one to ask for handouts, but at this time, she really needs the support in order to give Darlene the service that she deserves. Any contributions for Darlene, big or small, will be accepted with an abundance of gratitude from the McCullough family during this difficult time. Thank you so much!
