In May 2025, I went into the hospital for what I thought was a routine kidney stone. After being sent home with medication, I woke up days later shaking and feeling much worse. When I returned to the hospital, I learned that my kidney stone was infected, and I was transferred to a larger hospital. There, I went into septic shock and was placed on life support, spending months fighting for my life. During that time, I survived a heart attack, a stroke, several seizures, and eleven brain bleeds. The prognosis was grim—my family was told I might not survive, and if I did, I would never be the same. Some even suggested my family consider letting me go. But my loved ones refused to give up hope, praying and believing for a miracle.

When I finally woke up, I learned that my hands and feet had died due to the infection, and doctors recommended amputation. Despite being told I would never walk again, I have made an incredible recovery with God by my side. I now use prosthetic legs, but unfortunately, my insurance will not cover prosthetic hands.

I am reaching out because I need help to get new hands so I can regain my independence and care for my children. I don’t normally ask for anything, but this is an urgent need that will make a huge difference in my life and future. Any support, even a dollar, will help me move forward on my journey.
