This is Nicole, a Mum of two beautiful kids and a gorgeous human being.
Two days after her 42nd birthday, Nicole was given some devastating news about her health. After being on 5 courses of antibiotics for a lingering chest infection, she was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 4 Cancer in her lungs (mainly left) which had spread to her liver and back. On top of trying to process this traumatic news, Nicole's thoughts went immediately to her 2 beautiful children, Jake and Ava, and how she had to fight this for them.
Since Nicole's diagnosis just over a month ago, she has started chemotherapy and has had a blood transfusion, IV fluids, antibiotics, IV magnesium, IV potassium, liquid phosphate, a CT scan, x-rays and now scans have revealed she has diverticulitis.
On Monday the 18th April, with the chemo already causing Nicole's hair to start falling out, she decided to shave her beautiful long blonde locks. In her own words “It was so scary as it felt like a big part of my identity was being taken away from me”. Come on Tassie, let’s all get behind this young mum and donate, even if it’s just $5. With limited income at the moment, all donations will go towards bills as well as giving her an opportunity to be able to do the things in life she has always dreamed of doing with her 2 children, and peace of mind in knowing her children have some back up in the years ahead.
