Help Nicole fight Lung cancer
Hi I'm Heather, I'm fundraising for Nicole Rademacher.
I've known Nicole for 5 years, she's one of my best friends and she (and her family) need our help.
She is a hard working Mom of two boys (Nathan and Brady), a bonus Mom to a beautiful girl (Jerra), wonderful fiancé to Daniel, caring daughter, and one of the hardest workers I know.
On 6/2, after experiencing stomach pain, Nicole went in to get checked out at the local ER. There they did blood work and a CT scan. The CT scan showed something wasn't right with her chest so they wanted to do another CT scan to check into that. Nicole had another CT scan the next day and a follow up with her doctor on 6/4. Her doctor called and stated they found a mass on her left lung. They quickly got a PET scan scheduled on 6/9 to see if it was what we feared.
On 6/11 we got the news that it was indeed cancer. They found a malignant mass in her left lung. Nicole has never smoked a day in her life. How she got lung cancer is a mystery.
Nicole had her first Oncology appointment on 6/21 to come up with a game plan to get rid of the cancer. The doctor found that it is currently only located in her left lung next to the lower bronchi. She is scheduled to have the mass and most of her lung removed on 7/1.
This is where we need your help. No one plans for cancer. No one plans to have most of their lung removed.
And to make matters worse, while she was trying to make meals to store for recovery they found out their freezer died and lost so much food. 1/4 a cow, 28 lbs of steak, all the meals she prepped, all gone.
Nicole is looking at a very long road to recovery and they are a two income family. She will potentially be out of work for months. They just purchased their first home in early 2020 and they have 5 mouths to feed. We want to lift Nicole up and help ease the cost of groceries. We're also going to help make meals that can easily be heated. We will also be helping around the house as well. This is the last thing they should have to worry about.
Please consider helping this beautiful person. Grocery gift cards to Hyvee, Cub, Walmart, Sam's Club or Coborns are also very welcome! I will be collecting those and giving them to Nicole. They can be mailed to:
