My name is Erin Casey, and I’m trying to help my friend Nicole with her mounting expenses stemming from a recent hit and run accident. Nicole was stopped at the red light next to Agapi Pizza Restaurant in Middletown after leaving Stop n Shop when a large black SUV rear ended her 2018 Ford Focus at full speed. She was disoriented and in a full state of panic when the teenage driver told her that her car had no damage. When she told him her back and neck hurt he got in his vehicle and quickly left the scene.

She was taken by ambulance to Middlesex hospital and eventreturned to the scene with family after discharge to pick up her car. The officer they spoke with said he would check the cameras but finding him was unlikely. At this point she realized there would likely be no recourse for the damage and trauma.

After spending thousands on futile repairs she has been told the impact from the collision likely caused damage to the transmission. Her car is no longer drivable due to its inability to switch gears.

This hasn’t been merely an inconvenience. She has been unable to work for the past week and due to her savings being drained from the multiple repairs working is an absolute necessity. This fund is meant to help her get the funds necessary to finally fix her vehicle so she can get back to work and move on from the hit and run she was a victim of.
