I’ve been told it takes a village to raise a child and though I have done it mostly alone for the past 2.5 years, we need our village now more than ever. Here is where I raise the flag for help. As I leave a domestic violence situation and move across multiple states to start over closer to family, I am in need of assistance to make this possible.

It took a lot of going back and forth, giving up my career, the life I worked hard for, debating on what the right move is, and doing everything I could trying to make it work for the sake of my child. But I firmly believe God puts us on a path for a reason and sometimes you need to be forced out of a closing door so you can walk into the next one where the brighter future awaits. The funds donated will be used towards travel, moving, legal fees, and essentials as we start over again. The majority will go towards legal fees as I fight to ensure my daughter is safe and well taken care of.

I pray that once this battle is over and we are settled into our new life, I can pay it forward by helping another survivor of domestic violence. Anything and everything is GREATLY appreciated.
