Help Nicole beat her battle with Breast Cancer

My name is Marnie Appel and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this.

On November 29, 2023, my whole world changed as I knew it. My 35-year-old daughter, Nicole Alpy was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer which is the most aggressive and deadliest form of breast cancer. My family has been completely blindsided by this. We are desperately doing all we can to make life as normal as possible for Nicole and her family.

Nicole is a mother, wife, daughter, sister and so much more to everyone who knows her. She and her husband Jim have a beautiful family that includes their 10 year old son with special needs, their 7 year old son and soon to be 2 year old daughter. These babies have no idea about the battle their mom is about to face. Nothing about this is fair. We know every family who gets any type of diagnosis like this feels exactly the same way. No one should have to prepare for what my daughter is getting ready to go through.

Doctors have advised her that chemotherapy will start next week, radiation will follow and a double mastectomy will also be scheduled in the future. She is going to have a long run to recovery. Nicole is very determined and is remaining positive about the discovery and the upcoming treatment plan her team of doctors are preparing.

Never in a million years did we think we would be doing this. We are coming to all of you to ask for help. I know it is the holidays and everyone is financially stressed already, but any contribution you can make towards this fundraiser would help in such tremendous ways! There will be missed work, medical bills, unforeseen expenses, items she will need that we must begin to plan for and so much more. Our goal is to help raise money so Nicole and Jim can focus on her health, recovery and their children without having to worry about financial burdens. Every donation matters and it will give them a little more breathing room as they navigate through this process.
