My name is Nicole Murphy. I am unfortunately having to create this GoFundMe, because my small little family has experienced a tragedy that is a waking nightmare.
On Saturday, January 24th my Husband, Jeff Murphy, my soulmate and best friend took his last breath, ending a very long struggle of battling many health issues.
He was diagnosed with Heart failure, Renal failure, and just recently Cirrhosis. (He never drank or did drugs a day in his life)
He was only 47.
His birthday is March 11th.
This is, by far, the hardest loss I've ever experienced, coupled by the fact he leaves behind our 15 year old son.
Fortunately, we were both with him went he left this world.
I can't even begin to explain the hurt and pain me and our son, let alone the rest of his family, like his Mother and brothers are experiencing.
He was larger then life and fought, valiantly for over 4 years.
Because 4 years ago is when he had his left leg amputated.
I nursed him back to health and continued to take care of him, even with my own health issues that arose during that time period.
He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentine's Day of 2011.
He proposed 6 months later, and on June 2nd we became husband and wife.
I am honored to say I took our vows seriously, because I loved him, in sickness and in health, until death.
15 years wasn't enough time. Not with the man that I knew to be my Soulmate and love of my life.
It breaks my heart, but I have to reach out to all our family and friends, and even strangers as we navigate this unimaginable loss.
My husband was on disability, and due to my own health issues and having to be his caregiver for the last 4 years, I couldn't work.
So, with that ...
I am begging for everyone's help. To help me and my son, lay my husband to rest, as well as to help us with bills until I can figure out what to do next.
I have applied for disability and been denied, but will be reapplying as soon as I can. But, with that comes the struggle I cannot face alone and that is bills.
So, if you find it in your heart to be able to donate to me and my son, I would be beyond grateful and appreciative.
I have no idea what these next few months will look like for us, but knowing I can at least pay our electric bill, car insurance or even or Internet bill or even money for gas, will help ease our burden by some degree.
I fought to keep this man alive and advocated tirelessly for him to get the care he needed and the help I needed as well.
I will forever grieve this loss, as will our son, Nathan.
If you can donate, even just $1, I can't begin to tell you thank you enough. And if you can't donate, I plead with you, to at least share this. Please help me and my Son, say goodbye and prepare for a future we never wanted.
And lastly...
If you are uncomfortable with using this service to donate, I have Cash App and Venmo. You can find me at $Murphyslaw2713 for both.
Feel free to reach out as well.
I will update everyone on his final arrangements when I have figured out those Shakey, next steps.
And to my husband - I love you. Always. We both know that our love was a love that could destroy and rebuild universes. Until we are in each other arms again....
Always and forever
