Help Nicole and Her Twins Escape Domestic Violence
Donation protected
My name is Nicole and I'm trying to escape a domestic violence situation with my twin 6 years old and my pets.
Summary: My ex boyfriend violated a domestic violence restraining order and broke into my house while I was at work and vandalized my house and stole valuables. He was arrested but could be out in a few days after arraignment. His mom owns the house am I am renting so I need to get out ASAP. I have a safe place for me and my kids to go but I need to board my dogs for about a month as they can not come with us yet. The funds will go towards the following depending on the amount I am able to raise:
1) Boarding- I do have a place for me and my children to stay temporarily but I can not bring the dogs yet. If I can raise enough for a boarding, which I am finding to be about $50/day per dog ($200 a day), then I can get out immediately while I continue to work on housing.
2) Security Deposit- This is my preferred solution. I have found several landlords who are willing to let me rent and bring my dogs with me but I need the money for the security deposit. The security deposit, on average, as been one month of rent (averaging $2800), plus an additional $500 per pet. Which is a minimum security deposit of $4800. (The most recent landlord I talked to in Sacramento was asking $6000 deposit plus $2900 for rent to move in.)
3) Moving Expenses- As stated, his mother owns the house we were renting prior to his arrest. I am no longer able to stay here and need to move ASAP. I have money for the current months rent here to buy me time to move, but I still need the first months rent at the new house as well as money to pay for movers as I don't really much family around and it's too much to do. It will also help me move out faster.
I will come back and add more details when I'm able to to fully disclose the situation. But I need to get this started as soon as possible so I'm posting the short summary. I have attached a picture of my Huskies needing boarding, the crime report for the burglary as well as a photo showing damage from the break in where broke my kids school laptops. The last photo is of me and my boys at a parade. It's the last photo he took of us, the day before Mother's Day.
