Support and love for Nicole Goeppert and Ava Leibensperger…
As many of you know we are ending the year with a lot of trauma, heartache, and sadness. It’s difficult to put this out there or ask for help but a lot of family and friends have been asking what they can do. We truly appreciate the overwhelming support and prayers from everyone.
Nicole was stabbed in the back by her boyfriend (Ava’s Dad) on December 18 and then he ran away to avoid the trouble. The damage to her spinal cord required hours in surgery and she spent over a week in the ICU. For now, she lost the ability to use her right leg. She can wiggle her toes and move her foot a little but there isn’t any way for us to know how much she will recover or when, but Nicole is strong and determined to walk out of that hospital and get home to Ava!
While we rally around her, give her lots of love and support to help get Nicole back on her feet, we are saying many prayers. Remaining hopeful, but it will be a long, tough road. The go fund me donations will be used to cover bills, rent, and expenses through all of this because we don’t yet know when or if she will even be able to regain the use of her leg or return to work. Also, helping to make the best life for Ava in the wake of this tragedy.
On December 26, Danny was finally found, deceased. Many emotions come with this, he was Ava’s Dad and she lost a father she had loved so much.
If you know of anyone going through domestic violence, addiction and/or mental health issues please keep them strong and assist getting help!
All your kind words, well wishes and love has been sent Nicole’s way. We truly appreciate every single one!
Much love,
Nicole and Ava’s Family
