Nicole was relaxing in her front yard, on a hammock, on Sunday, December 26th, when she was brutally and viciously attacked from behind. Nicole never saw him coming and was no competition for her assailant.

She is now in ICU after surviving surgery to remove multiple crushed skull fragments from putting pressure on her brain, replace the skull with titanium plates, and stop the bleeding from her head and face.

Her next surgery will be tomorrow. She is THANKFULLY alive but has a long road ahead of her.

Nicole is 21. Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with heart failure and cardiomyopathy. She is one of the strongest people you will ever meet. She has been financially Independent and an extremely responsible young person. The diagnosis of heart failure led to many medical bills and procedures with the most recent being the implantation of a defibrillator. Only two weeks ago was she able to return to her full-time job, which offers her health insurance. It is not sure if she will need a heart transplant, but that is what her cardiologist says is in her future.

Fast forward to today. This amazing person, who has been through so much and still has maintained employment so she can pay her medical bills, is now facing not only an emotional and physical battle but a financial one as well.

She is never one to ask for help, but as these last couple of days have shown us, some things we have no control over and other things we do. Asking for help is something that her family and friends who love her dearly are doing now. If you’re able to donate anything to help this precious girl, it will be truly appreciated.
