This year, both boys have nominated for every single show. They turn up without fail to training, push themselves through every run, and never shy away from the hard work. They’re also the first to put their hands up to help with the kids’ classes or welcome a new member through the doors. They train with intensity, fight with courage, and carry themselves with the humility and politeness that make them a joy to have around the gym.

And it shows. Nicolas has built an undefeated 5–0 record already under his belt. Little G, just starting out, has notched up five victories from six bouts — proving his grit, determination, and natural talent. Both are developing into not just outstanding young boxers, but outstanding young men.

Now, they’ve earned the opportunity to represent Western Australia at the 2025 Australian School Championships in Darwin from September 30 to October 3. It’s the chance to test themselves against the very best in the country, to learn, to grow, and to show what WA boxing — and Southside — is all about.

When Nicolas and Little G step into the ring in Darwin, they won’t be standing there alone. They’ll be carrying their teammates, their coaches, their families, and the entire Southside community with them. Every round they fight is a reflection of the effort, belief, and support that surrounds them here at home.

But getting to Nationals comes with costs — flights, accommodation, and expenses for the boys and their coaches. For families and grassroots clubs like ours, it’s not easy to cover it all.

That’s why we’re reaching out to our Southside family and the wider community. By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping give Nicolas and Little G the opportunity they’ve worked so hard for.
