Help Nicolas Leon Compete at the NCFCA National Championship

Hello!

This is Nicolas Leon. My family and I are a part of NCFCA, a national speech & debate association.

Recently, I delivered an informative speech in South Carolina at our area’s Regional Tournament. To my surprise, because of my overall performance throughout the season, I was invited to participate in the National Championship on June 8th to 13th at the University of Northwestern in Minnesota.

Because of the distance and time constraints, my mom and I will have to fly. We did an estimate on the flights, and each ticket will cost $400. I will be working in order to pay for our accommodations and the tournament fees, but I am trying to raise $1000 to help cover our travel expenses. NCFCA Speech and Debate has given me the opportunity to express myself creatively and share my ideas logically. It has allowed me to learn from my fellow competitors and I am grateful for all the encouragement and support I have received from my family, our local club’s coaches, other parents and my teammates during this exciting season.
