Please Help Nicolas Andre Matute Guifarro Fight Brain Tumor

My name is Maria Antunez and I have started this fundraiser on behalf of my cousins Amy Guifarro and Nicolas Matute as their 5-year-old son NICOLAS ANDRE MATUTE GUIFARRO has been diagnosed with a brain tumor in the dorsal portion of his brain, specifically in the cerebellum.

He underwent surgery on Thursday, October 24th in order to install a provisional valve in his head that is helping drain the built-up fluids caused by hydrocephaly, which has been caused by the tumor. He urgently needs to undergo a second surgery where the doctors will attempt to remove the tumor. It is not known if the tumor is malignant or benign. They live in Honduras and therefore it is a very expensive operation.

This news has changed their life in a imaginable way from one day to the next and they face overwhelming emotional and financial challenges...

OUR GOALS:

As a family is to provide Amy and Nico with spiritual, emotional and moral support. Financially, our goal is to help raise funds for them to cover medical costs, treatment fees, transportation, accommodation while they are in the hospital, food, etc.

Mi nombre es Maria Antunez y he iniciado esta recaudación de fondos en nombre de mis primos Amy Guifarro y Nicolas Matute ya que su hijo de 5 años NICOLAS ANDRE MATUTE GUIFARRO ha sido diagnosticado con un tumor cerebral en la parte dorsal de su cerebro, especificamente en el cerebelo.

Fue operado el jueves 24 de Octubre para instalarle una válvula provisional en la cabeza que le está ayudando a drenar los líquidos acumulados por la hidrocefalia causada por el tumor. Necesita urgentemente someterse a una segunda intervención quirúrgica en la que los médicos intentarán extirpar el tumor. No se sabe si el tumor es maligno o benigno. Viven en Honduras y por lo tanto es una operación muy cara.

Esta noticia ha cambiado su vida de una manera imaginable de un día para otro y se enfrentan a desafíos emocionales y financieros abrumadores...

NUESTROS OBJETIVOS:

Como familia es proporcionar a Amy y Nico apoyo espiritual, emocional y moral. Económicamente, nuestro objetivo es ayudarles a recaudar fondos para cubrir los gastos médicos, las tasas del tratamiento, el transporte, el alojamiento mientras están en el hospital, la comida, etc.
