Nico is a queer, Tejano, nonbinary person living in the Pacific Northwest. They are preparing for a gender-affirming surgery (hysterectomy) that is scheduled for December 17th, 2025. Nico is going to need to take around 3 weeks away from their job as a server/bartender after surgery to recover.

This campaign is to fund their post-op recovery, including the cost of rent, transportation, bills, food, and pet care.

Luckily, the cost of surgery will be covered by insurance as gender-affirming care. This is huge and has allowed Nico to move forward with surgery. Unfortunately, however, Nico has not accrued the PTO needed to cover their time off post-op.

This surgery is going to be life-changing for Nico. They are excited to finally make this change, something that has felt like a necessity for many years.
