Nico, my husband, has been struggling with severe back pain for years due to four herniated lumbar discs and a bulging disc. Recently, his condition has worsened, with multiple flare-ups causing radiating pain in his stomach and leg. After several hospital visits, doctors have told us that back surgery is the only solution. Unfortunately, we have not met our health insurance deductible, and the cost of his first neurosurgeon appointment was more than we could afford. Because Nico has missed work, we were unable to pay for the appointment, and his surgery will cost several thousands of dollars.

Donations to this fundraiser will help cover the cost of doctor appointments at the surgeon’s office, back surgery, and family expenses while Nico is unable to work. Nico works tirelessly, often 14 hours a day, to support our family, and that is why he has delayed surgery. He is afraid of being out of work too long and not having the funds to continue supporting us. He even feels he can’t spend money on doctor appointments because it needs to go to bills and family expenses. I will be starting school next month to help support him, but I’m afraid of him waiting that long and his back only getting worse. Nico is so kind and hardworking and is too young to be dealing with so many back issues. He just wants to be better so he can continue to be there for his kids and family.
