On 8/6/25, our world got turned upside down. As a mom, I heard the words that no mom wants to hear from their child's PCP. I was instructed to pick Nico up from school and take him to Phoenix Children’s Hospital ASAP; they know we are coming.
Nicolas was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. These few days, Nico has been so strong with all the testing and procedures he’s undergone.
This next chapter for us will be full of ups and downs. Through this process, Nico is losing the privilege to be able to go to school due to his low immune system.
As a single mom I’m navigating, learning, and do the best I can for my two sons.
