We’re starting this GoFundMe for our brother and friend, Nicholas “Nicky” Gilbert, who was the victim of a hit-and-run motorcycle accident in Alameda, CA on the night of November 9th, 2025.

Nicky was on his way home from work when a van cut in front of him and suddenly hit the brakes. He collided with the vehicle at about 45–50 mph, and the driver took off, leaving him severely injured on the road. A police report has been filed, and authorities are working to find the person responsible.

Nicky is currently in the hospital with a shattered pelvis, multiple broken ribs, and fractured vertebrae. He’s awaiting surgery and faces a long, difficult road to recovery. Despite the pain and uncertainty, he’s staying strong but he’ll need all the help he can get.

Because Nicky doesn’t have insurance, the medical bills, rehabilitation, and recovery costs are already overwhelming. We’re asking our community to come together to support him through this incredibly tough time. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and goes directly toward his medical expenses and recovery needs.
