Nickolas Carlos Escobar (Nick) has become a part of our family. My daughter has been dating Nickolas for 3 years. Nick is always cracking jokes and is one of the most respectful teenagers I have ever met.

Nick, 17 years old, was recently diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia/ Bone Marrow Failure.

This guy left the hospital to walk for high-school graduation, and returned to the hospital right after. If that doesn't scream dedication and strength.

Nick's parents have stayed by his side every step of the way. He receives regular transfusions and immunosuppressive treatments. A port was surgically inserted only to be removed due to an infection developing.

As you can imagine, Nick's parents have missed a lot of work to be attentive. Also, Nick's insurance provider recently declined coverage for treatment.

Nick's medical condition will continue to be monitored closely.
