My name is Lita Caldera. On Wednesday, October 15, my 31-year-old son, Nicholas Wurm, an Army veteran, had a blood clot go to his brain, causing a debilitating stroke affecting his speech and one side of his body. A second stroke occurred on Friday October 24 and he was airlifted to Gainsville FL to have the clot surgically removed from his brain. The surgery was a success and he is on the long road to recovery. He is the sole source of support for his young family as a crane operator. His wife and 4 children, ages 11, 4, 3, and 1, depend on him for survival. He is currently in speech and occupational therapy. His family needs help for their support while he recovers.
