Hello my name is Jason Townsend (and Family), Nick is my best friend and could really use a pick me up. He is always there for a good laugh or to offer a helping hand. Nick was born with a hereditary congenital heart disease that he has battled with his whole life. He is now an advanced severe heart failure and needs a heart transplant. They have just put in an lvad device that goes into his heart and pumps the blood and sends it to the aorta. Part of the device is worn on the outside of the body and he has a tube coming out of his abdomen. The right side of his heart is compromised and his kidneys are not responding and they are getting ready to start dialysis now. He is in wide complex tachycardia as well and struggling to breathe.
