We are raising money for Nick's medical bills and cost of living while he is not able to work. On the morning of October 27th, Nick suffered severe symptoms such as a sudden increase in body temperature, vomiting, severe headaches, which were later discovered to be caused by a brain aneurysm. He was starting his work day and intended to suffer through the headaches until the other symptoms appeared and worsened while on the road. A call to 911 prompted his transport to Duke University Hospital. They quickly brought him into surgery after CT scans showed that the aneurysm was 6mm x 10mm. After a successful surgical operation, Nick is only half way through the battle. A recovery period estimated to last two weeks in the hospital, at times painful, especially in the beginning. Nick has health insurance but will still be responsible for a hefty percentage of his treatment and stay at the hospital. In addition the cost of living and support his family is not something that can be put on pause. We are hopeful that we'll be able to take some of the weight off of his shoulders with the donations of family, friends, and the generosity of the public.
