Nick and I humbly need your help. When Nick was just a kid he developed an intense fear of the dentist so much so that there is a (true) family story told about how when Nick was a young teen he ran away and jumped a train to get away from his dentist when Nick overheard that he wanted to fill a cavity he had. For way too many years he has avoided going to the dentist due to this fear. But now the time has come because he has some serious medical issues going on. He has four beautiful daughters to take care of himself for now. I couldn’t do life without him. He is an amazing Dad. If you ask Nick, he’d say he just wants his kids to see him smile. I’ve been with Nick for over 15 years now and I’ve never seen him smile. He never talks about the pain he feels every day or the seriousness of his issue. I didn’t know until I went as his emotional support person to his appointment with him. From this appointment we learned it will cost us $10,393 dollars to get all the needed procedures done the cheapest way possible. That’s with our insurance! We have some money saved but not nearly enough. We need help. He needs this surgery sooner than later. While he supported me through graduate school, we racked up some serious debt we are working on but it has made us not able to qualify for a loan.
