Friends, family, union comrades, and community:
Maybe you’ve heard, maybe you haven’t - our favorite rabble rouser has undergone an emergency surgery due to a rare arterial disease, resulting in the loss of his right leg. Nick Sloss is a beloved father, lead union steward and groundskeeper at the university of Oregon, and the best partner in crime a girl could ask for. The road to recovery will be long, and we’ll need your support to ensure he’s able to do all the things he loves - biking, backpacking, skating, sailing, and tending to his plants and peoples. Friends and family have stepped up in all sorts of ways to help us through these initial stages - next, we will need financial support to get him the best prosthetic leg money can buy.
Nick dedicates so much of his time and energy standing up for the little guy in the face of injustices - now is our opportunity to help him stand on two feet, stronger than ever, ready for the long road ahead. Please donate what you can and know that any donation big or small means the world to Nick and his family and friends.
With love, thanks, and in solidarity 4eva,
Sarah Pishioneri
PS. The intent for funds generated here is to solely be used for the prosthetic - if you’d like to help with anything else in the meantime, please contact Nick or I directly.
