Hi, my name is Nick, and I’m 18 years old. I never thought I’d have to ask for help like this, but I’m trying my best to survive and build a better future for myself.

My life has been difficult from the beginning. My mom went to jail when me and my triplet siblings were very young. Not long after, my father was shot and killed — wrong place, wrong time. I spent about 5 years in foster care growing up.

Later on, I was disowned because I chose not to continue participating in the Jehovah’s Witness religion. Since then, I’ve been on my own with no real family support.

I’ve been homeless for several years now. Every day I try to make money however I can — washing windows, cleaning cars, doing small jobs, or any work people are willing to give me. I work hard, but it’s still not enough to get stable housing or reliable transportation.

Right now, my biggest goal is to save enough money for a car. Having a car would change everything for me. It would give me a safe place to sleep at times, help me get to jobs more easily, and allow me to start rebuilding my life.

I’m not asking for luxury or anything extra — just a chance to get back on my feet and have some stability for once.
